About
Most families face the hardest questions at the hardest time: where are the papers, who should we call, what would they have wanted? Our Sandook is a quiet place to answer those questions while you can.
A sandook (सन्दूक, said SUN-dook) is the trunk that sat in almost every Indian home. It held the family’s important papers: property documents, insurance policies, bank passbooks, a box of jewellery, letters. Everyone knew where it was, and usually who kept the key.
Today those papers are spread across cupboards, lockers, inboxes and apps, and the key is often in one person’s head. Our Sandook is that trunk for today. Unlike the old trunk it does not hold the papers themselves, only a note of what exists and where each one is kept, plus the words you want to leave for the people you love.
A private planning tool for families in India. You note what documents exist and where they are kept, write letters and wishes for the people you love, and keep your emergency contacts ready. Paid options add weekly check-ins and a careful, human-reviewed route for passing on chosen letters. The free dashboard stays free.
Preparing for the people you love should feel steady, not frightening. We keep the words plain and the steps small.
We record where things are, never the things themselves: no passwords, PINs or document scans. What we never collect cannot leak.
Missed check-ins never release a letter. Anything sensitive is reviewed by a person and needs your own instructions.
We say plainly what works today and what is switched on later. If we are unsure, we tell you.
Through optional paid services: letter safekeeping from ₹199 a month and one-to-one guided sessions. We do not sell your information or show advertising. See pricing for exactly what each option includes.
