Terms of use
The service
- Our Sandook is a tool to organise information and personal messages. It is not a will, does not create legal rights for anyone, and is not legal, financial, tax or medical advice.
- Features marked as early access, switched on later or under consideration are not part of the service until we say otherwise.
Your account
- You must provide accurate details and keep your password private.
- You must not add passwords, PINs, recovery codes, card numbers or full identity numbers to the service.
- You must have permission from anyone whose contact details you add.
Check-ins, death reports and letter release
- Missed check-ins never establish death and never release letters.
- A death report is reviewed by people. We may refuse, pause or dispute a case where evidence is unclear or contested.
- Letters are only considered for release to recipients you named for that letter, after review, approval and recipient verification. We do not guarantee delivery in every circumstance.
Paid services
- Guided sessions are arranged by request. No booking is confirmed and no payment is due until we have agreed it with you.
- Letter safekeeping is in early access. You pay for one period at a time by UPI and nothing renews automatically. Automatic reminders, messages to your contacts and the release of letters are switched on later; until then they are not part of what you are paying for.
- Refunds and cancellation are described in our refund policy (a draft pending legal review).
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the service, submit false reports, attempt to access other people's information, or interfere with security controls.
Liability, changes and governing law
- [Limitation of liability, changes to the terms, governing law and dispute resolution to be drafted by qualified Indian legal counsel.]
